Fundraising in 2020 was very difficult for all charitable organisations. As we look forward to improved circumstances in 2021, the 4 Provinces Cycle Challenge is an exciting personal challenge and an opportunity to support the BYC in its important work.

The event is a vital fundraiser for the BYC and all participants are expected to fundraise a minimum of €1500 – more would be great.

As you train for the 400kms cycle in the coming months, each of us is asked to reach out to friends, family and work colleagues to support you and the BYC via your own fundraising page or they can do so via the ‘Donate’ button here on the BYC website. Make sure to reference who you are supporting.

Using social media (eg Facebook, Instagram, Twitter etc.), emails, WhatsApp and of course phone calls and face to face meetings, there are more ways than ever to reach our own networks, get the word out and request support. It’s never been easier and the above are all excellent ways to connect.

We are available to assist participants in their fundraising efforts and have prepared digital materials which can be used to communicate with friends, family, work mates etc.

In addition to personal sponsorship we’d love to hear from businesses or individuals interested in supporting us through sponsorship and advertising opportunities. If you think your company might be willing to get involved in sponsorship or ‘in kind’ sponsorship please contact us. We’d be delighted to hear from you.

Sponsors will be acknowledged through advertising on shirts, on support vehicles, on social media and on our website.
We also have an opportunity for an overall title sponsor.

If you’d like get involved in this exciting event please email or phone 086 852 0565 for more information.

Thank you to the main sponsor of the BYC 4 Provinces Cycle Challenge

We appreciate the support of our sponsors

Each participant is expected to be responsible for their own training programme and be fully prepared and fit to take part. Especially during this period of lockdowns and restrictions it’s an ideal opportunity to use the time for personal training.

In addition, as soon as COVID guidelines allow, a number of group training sessions will be arranged. These will give people an opportunity to meet other participants and ensure we’re all making good progress.

Everyone’s safety – cyclists & support team – is paramount. Training sessions and briefings on health & safety behaviours and protocols will be provided.

The BYC 4 Provinces Cycle Challenge is for the Belvedere Youth Club (BYC).

Situated in Buckingham Street in Dublin’s north inner city, the BYC is a youth services organisation working to support young people in some of the countries most disadvantaged communities.

It’s located in the shadows of the IFSC, the Docklands and only a few hundred metres from the centre of the city and yet continues to be gulf in the wealth and opportunities available in these different communities.
Through its social, educational and recreational programmes the BYC aims to equip young people, assist them in accessing opportunities and prepare them for the future.

In supporting young people it creates benefits for their families and the wider community.
For more detailed information please have a look around the website and please feel to contact us. We’d be delighted to hear from you.
